ClimeCo International's team developed, built & operated the largest BioGas network in Latin America - with 685 commercial BioGas plants - for a LSE-listed international project developer. Between 2005 and 2008 our team produced over 200 million m3 of BioGas (appr. 500,000 MWhe) and over 3 million Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) with a market value of over USD 60 million under the UN Kyoto Protocol.

Markus Althausen - Co-Founder, President & CEO

Markus is a former investment banker & strategy consultant with over 15 years of executive management experience. Until recently he was on the Board of Directors of a publicly listed Swiss investment fund. As VP Field Operations at a major LSE-listed international project developer he was in charge of the largest BioGas network in the Americas. Markus holds a MSc from the Univ. of Economics in Vienna.

Yuda Saydun - Co-Founder, Member of the Board

Yuda is a former VP Latin America at a major credit card company and Division President at a major IT distributor.

In the late 2000s Yuda was EVP & COO of a major LSE-listed international project developer that owned the largest BioGas network in the Americas, with 685 plants in Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Canada. Yuda is a member of the ATOSHA network and holds a MBA from UCLA.

Kevin C. Trott - Chief Construction Officer

Kevin is a seasoned international construction executive with more than 30 years of executive experience in emerging market construction management. His past responsibilities include the construction of utility scale power plants in Asia, the Middle East as well as medium and small scale power plants in Latin America. As the Head of Construction at a major LSE-listed international project developer Kevin was in charge of the construction of over 300 BioGas plants across Latin America.

Dr. Kiril Atanassof - Advisor on Waste Water

Dr. Atanassof has more than 25 years of international technical expertise in biogas-to-power projects and industrial waste water management. He is also a certified court expert for waste water treatment in Austria. Dr. Atanassof holds a PhD from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria

Gabriel Meurer - Advisor on Renewable Energy

Gabriel is a Venture Partner and a member of the Advisory Board of Mountain Cleantech AG, a Swiss investment advisory firm. Throughout his 30 years in Corporate Finance, Gabriel held numerous positions at major German infrastructure firms Mannesmann, Krupp and Hochtief, and closed transactions exceeding $6 Billion in value. Since 2004 Gabriel took over Board positions in renewable energy ventures where he originated and headed up transactions valued at over $500 Million in wind, biogas and photovoltaic energy.

Prof. George Philippidis - Advisor on Biofuels

Dr. Philippidis is an international energy expert with over 20 years of experience in biofuels & renewable power. After directing biofuels technology development at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Denver, at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Boston & at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Dr. Philippidis is now Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa. He works with corporate clients on bioenergy & biofuels projects and advises on technology, business & energy policy. Dr. Philippidis holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering & an MBA, has published numerous papers & holds 11 clean tech patents.
