ClimeCo International's BioGas production plants use a unique & proprietary form of advanced multi-stage Anaerobic Digestion (AD).

CCI A+ Anaerobic Digestion: Optimized Multi-Stage System

The process of Anaerobic Digestion runs through several consecutive stages. Each digestion stage is based on a different type of bacteria that requires a different optimized environment.

In order to optimize the Anaerobic Digestion process, CCI's A+ BioGas Production plants operate in multiple consecutive stages, where each stage offers an ideal environment for this stage's type of bacteria. This advanced multi-stage design allows us to extract significantly more BioGas from POME than the competition.

Result: Superior BioGas yield of 28m3/TFF

The most common type of BioGas plant in Latin America - covered lagoons - typically produces 16m3 of BioGas per ton of palm fruit or TFF (23m3 of BioGas per m3 of POME).

More modern Continuously Stirred Tank Reactors (CSTRs) reach an output of around 19m3 of BioGas per TFF (28m3 of BioGas per m3 of POME).

The optimized process of CCI's multi-stage A+ BioGas plants allows us to generate on average 28m3 of BioGas per TFF (42m3 of BioGas per m3 of POME). Therefore, CCI offers the best available BioGas production yield for POME in Latin America.
